Daddy's Home!

This is what happens every night Justin comes home.  Both boys jump in the car and Blake just giggles and waves to me!  They think it's so fun to pull the car into the garage!  It's a nightly ritual!

Date Night

Justin and I were able to take our first real date night in quite awhile.  We were lucky to have Grandma Cathy come and watch the boys.  We were only gone 3 hours but it was nice to get away!  I didn't have to share my dinner with anyone and we actually got to have a conversation with out Cayden asking "What did you say?".   We found this great state park only ten minutes from our house that has this waterfall!  It was a great hike and sure fun to get out.  Hopefully will be able to get out more.  Were hoping the Narnia movie can be our next date.....the first one was the last movie we both saw together in the theater!  So it's been awhile!

Using the Spoon!

A Couple of weeks ago we decided to let Blake try and use the spoon to feed himself!  Let's say he loved it!!  I was excited also just not about the mess!!  Kids under 2 shouldn't wear white shirts at all...they get too stained....as you see here!  But he loves to eat his yogurt and cereal now with his spoon!

Book Review: Shattered Dreams

I just finished reading this book on Polygamy.  It was a great book and maybe I say that because I'm really interested in them right now.  This book took place thru the 50's -70's and it amazes me that this people can live like this.  The lady in the book talks about how jealousy is a big deal among all the wives and if you read this book you'll see that they get to see him maybe three days a month.   By the end of the book he has over 8 wives and 56 children!  I highly recommend reading this.  I am going to be reading another book on Polygamy so I'll let you know how that one is.  

Playing Around

One year pictures of Blake!

 So here are some pictures of the boys I tried to take!  It didn't work out very well because they both wanted to play instead. So i'll have to try again.  If anyone has any tips on how to take both there pictures together so that there looking at me anything advice is welcomed!!  i just would love a picture of both of them together!!

Strange sleeping positions!

So sometimes in the morning Blake comes in our room to sleep with us, as you can see he's very restless and finds the most unusual places to fall asleep!  But hey were both sleeping and that's all the matters to me!!  

Dead Bird?? But Why?

So this past weekend we had a 60th wedding party for my grandparents.  As Cayden and Blake were playing outside, Cayden discovered a dead bird.  Let's just say that brought on a lot of questions for Uncle Tom to answer.  Cayden is in that "But Why"  stage.  And what ever answer you give him it's still a but why?   He Kept asking if the bird was going to make any noise!   The curious minds of an almost 3 year old!  

Trying to plant a Garden!

So Cayden, Blake and I are going to try and plant a garden since there was a spot to put one.  So yesterday we tilled the ground and are going to plant the seeds soon.  I still need to do some research on how to plant them!  It will be very interesting to see how it turns out!  ( I don't have a green thumb at all!)  

As you can see they loved playing in the dirt!
