Dead Bird?? But Why?

So this past weekend we had a 60th wedding party for my grandparents.  As Cayden and Blake were playing outside, Cayden discovered a dead bird.  Let's just say that brought on a lot of questions for Uncle Tom to answer.  Cayden is in that "But Why"  stage.  And what ever answer you give him it's still a but why?   He Kept asking if the bird was going to make any noise!   The curious minds of an almost 3 year old!
